After 11 months of having sisterlocks I am just now starting to get into the groove of things. I’m just figuring out hairstyles and the best products to use in my hair.
The products i’m using at the moment are the Jamaican Mango and Lime shampoo and conditioner.
They were reasonably priced at $300 Jamaican dollars about $4 US each. They have a wider line of products but if you’re like me and are a bit lazy you cannot be bothered to do anything besides shampoo and the most condition.
After using this product i have seen a difference in my hair. It looks much healthier and is not as coarse as it usually is. However this could probably be due to the fact that i no longer dry my hair under the dryer. I just wash and let it dry on it’s own.
But when the hair does get dry i use Better Locks Daily Moisturizer.
You see the word “daily” in the name…..that’s what they mean…you must use it daily. However once again if you’re like me and are extremely lazy and probably only use it once a week expect your hair to be dry and start to look slightly brown.
SUBTOPIC:
Shampooing your locks
I have been on a lot of sisterlocks websites and most persons advise that when washing your locks you should wash them in sections.
I have never done any such thing and nothing has happened to my locks. They have not joined together or unravelled. I wash them just as they are, working the shampoo all the way down to the scalp and along the length of the lock. I suppose it amounts to what you feel comfortable doing. However, lazy people do not worry, you don’t have to go through all that trouble.
